Life is crazy at the moment what with my OU course, a new job and.. well.. just normal family stuff. I am so sorry I haven't been around to reply to all of your kind comments and messages. I really appreciate them and would honestly love to be able to reply to them all.. but I'm know I'm not going to be able to right now. I had to share this great news! I work in a special needs secondary school... my class is 16-19 year olds. Before the summer holidays Georgina - one of the pupils in my class entered a competition with Media Box and Channel Four. Georgina was one of ten young disadvantaged youngsters given five hundred pounds to make a short documentary during their summer break. From the ten films made Georgina’s has been judged as the winner and will be aired on Channel Four sometime next year. Well finally! I finished my Open University Maths for Science course and I'm nervously waiting for the results... only a few more weeks to go! My next course starts in September which is Discovering Science. This course introduces a range of topics from global warming to the origin of life; ecology and genetics to earthquakes and volcanoes; chemical reactions and the structure of atoms to the origin of the universe.
